In the center of the Yangtze Delta, south of Jiangsu Province and near to Shanghai, Suzhou is famous for its heavenly beauty. Built in 514 BC, it is an ancient city with a history of 2500 years and the unique characteristics of the past are still retained now. With a vast number of ponds and streams, Suzhou also gains the reputation of the "Venice of the Orient".

The most famous tourist destinations are the gardens such as the Humble Administrator's Garden, Lingering Garden, The Garden of Master of the Nets, etc. The Humble Administrator's Garden is the largest garden in Suzhou famous for its exquisite pools, rockeries, islets, bamboo grove, pavilions and corridors. Lingering Garden shows the typical architecture style of Qing Dynasty. The Garden of Master of the Nets is the smallest of the Suzhou residential gardens, but is a perfectly balanced succession of interconnected spaces wrought moments of aesthetic surprise.
