A group of people call “Lao han”, means ancient Han people in Chinese. The villagers are descendents of the station troops arranged by Ming Emperor Zhu yuanzhang 600 years ago.

Nowadays, the villagers still preserve the traditions, dialect, and martial practice from the Ming-Qing periods. In the village, the local villagers will perform a private dixi ("ground") opera performance for us, which is a ceremony hundreds years ago, before a warrior war.
