Day 1: Arrive in Xining    
Activities: Upon arrival in Xining, greeted by your private guide and transferred to hotel in Xining. Free for the rest of the day.

Day 2: Xining    Xining
Activities: 1. Pick you up from the hotel and then transfer you to enjoy a full day tour to Qinghai Lake. Qinghai Lake is the largest salt water lake in China. Since ancient times, it gained a high reputation as "green lake", "blue sea" and "fairyland".
2. Cruise in the lake and visit Bird Island. Bird Island is renowned as the kingdom and paradise of birds. You can see flocks of wild birds spreading their wings over the broad lake.
3. On the way, you will have a stop to see the Mt. Sun and Moon, where the princess Wenchen threw the mirror down and married into the Tibetan area among the Tang Dynasty.
4. After the whole day tour, transfer you back to the hotel.

Day 3: Xining    Lhasa
Activities: 1. Pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to visit the Ta'er Monastery (Kumbum Monastery) in the town of Huangzhong 26km south of Xining. It is the birthplace of the founder of the Gelugpa Sect of Tibetan Buddhism - Tsongkhapa. The temple was later built in 1577.
2. Then move on to visit the North Hill Temple to have a bird's eye view of the city.
3. After that, visit Qinghai Provincial Museum with a few silk road exhibitions and some amazing Stone Age artifacts.
4. Then transfer you to the railway station to take the overnight train to Lhasa.

Day 4: Lhasa    Lhasa
Activities: 1. You are in the daytime during the journey from Golmud to Lhasa. Golmud-Lhasa section of the railway is above 4000m above sea level, reaching the highest point at 5,072m above sea level. Highlights of the trip includes snow-capped mountain peaks and the beautiful Conag Lake. There are long stretches of barren land. There are also rivers (the largest was Tuo Tuo River, which is the upper reaches of Yangtze River).
2. Arrive at Lhasa in the afternoon, greeted by your private guide and transferred to hotel in Lhasa. Free for the rest of the day to acclimate to the climate and altitude.

Day 5: Lhasa    Lhasa
Activities: 1. Pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to visit the Potala Palace. Potala Palace is the landmark and the heart of Lhasa City, which is perched on the 130 meters high Marpo Ri (Red Hill) with 13 storeys and more than 1000 roms in the middle of Beijing Road.
2. Then transfer you to visit the Jokhang Temple. The 1300-year-old Jokhang Temple is now the spiritual center of Tibet. From earliest dawn to last light, daily worshippers and once-in-a-lifetime pilgrims make the inner circumambulation (kora) of the Jokhang to earn religious merit.
3. After that, move on to visit the Barkhor Street. Barkhor Street is the oldest street in Lhasa as well as the center of old Lhasa and remains very traditional.
4. After the whole day tour, transfer you back to the hotel.

Day 6: Lhasa    Lhasa
Activities:

1. Pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to visit the Norbulingka. Norbulingka is known as the Summer Palace in Lhasa. It once served as the summer palace for dalai lamas from 7th Dalai Lama who first built the palace.
2. Then move on to visit the Tibet Museum. Tibet Museum has three exhibition floors. It has abundant historical relics and treasures including prehistoric culture, united culture, culture and art, customs.
3. The last destination is the Sera Monastery. Located 5km north of Lhasa, this monastery was the first Gelugpa monastery in Lhasa and has remained the main seat of this major Buddhist order ever since.
4. After the whole day tour, transfer you back to the hotel.
