Shennong Stream is a steady flow stream located in Badong County, Hubei Province, originated in the southern slope of the "central peak" Shennongjia, from south to north through mountains or deep valleys and into the Yangtze River mouth east at 2000 meters of the Wu Gorge, with the total length of 60 kilometers.

On both sides of Shennong Stream stand the mountains, winding stretch of several overlapping peaks. Two small mountain villages divided the 20 kilometers section into Cotton Bamboo Canyon, Parrots Gorge and Lungchang Cave. Each of them is famous for the steep rocks, magnificent scenery and male characteristics. Cotton Bamboo Canyon is famous for precipitous cliffs and caves around, huge stalactite volley hung upside. Parrots Gorge enjoys the most beautiful scenery of the vegetation on both sides of the strait. Regardless of the depth of winter or summer, here can see the flowers in full bloom. The gap of Lungchang Cave is less than twenty meters wide. The two sides rise steeply in the water, continuous paths winding up to 5 thousand meters. In addition to the limestone there are also distribution of the more than 60 different sizes of caves on the cliff, and most of the cave walls of stone earthworks, leaving the traces of the ancient war.

The climate of Shennong Stream belongs to subtropical monsoon climate zone, as the base with the increased altitude with warm temperate zone, cold wave. With the pleasant climate, Shennong Stream original forest inhabited by rare exotic animals such as flying rats, golden monkey, Su Ling. In particular, there is a wide range of white animals, such as white pheasant, white snake, white goats and white snub-nosed monkey. Here grew bright and precious plants, such as bloom, chrysanthemum, day onions, mother magnolia, fragrant fruit trees and rock cabbage. Particularly striking is the dove tree, tall and straight stalwart trees, snow-white, full decorated with branches of flowers as if the artful pigeons.
