Located in Fukang County, 110 kilometers east of Urumqi City, the Heavenly Lake, also known as Tianchi Lake is one of the most pristine natural wonders in China. Bogda Peak is the highest peak of the eastern Tianshan Mountains. Bogda is a Mongolian word with the meaning "God". As the highest peak covered by ice and snow all the year round, so the ancient Mongolians regarded it as the "God" and gave the name of "Bogda". Due to the high altitude, the tops of the mountains are even home to contemporary glaciers and rich in contemporary glaciers. Walking along the banks of the Heavenly Lake, visitors could see the ever-changing silvery mountains soaring into the blue sky.
