History of Haihe River
According to the historical records, the Haihe River was in used 1,800 years ago. In the Sui Dynasty (581-618), it gradually became a junction for navigation. Previously, the Wei, Ziya Yongding and Bai Rivers flowed separately to the sea. After the construction of the Grand Canal, it greatly altered the rivers and formed the current Haihe River.
