Legend about Black Dragon Pool
The Dragon Pool got its name from an ancient legend. It is said that in ancient time there were 10 vicious dragons around the area. They attacked people, destroyed the buildings and did harm to the environment. In order to protected the local people, one day, one of the Eight Immortals of the Chinese legend "Lu Dongbin" brought nine of the dragons under control and imprisoned them in a tower. Only the youngest black dragon was left because it promised not do the harm things and protected the local people. Iti is said that this dragon is still living in the Black Dragon Pool until now.

Highlights to See in Black Dragon Pool
Covering an area of 40 hectares, Black Dragon Pool is really enormous. With spectacular plants, here is also a paradise for bird and water-life. Over the Black Dragon Lake, there stands the Five-whole Bridge which divides the lake into 2 parts. And in the middle of each part there stands the Yiwen Pavilion and the Deyue Pavilion respectively. There is a strange thing that although the water is connected, the 2 parts are in different colors and the fish in either side never swim to the other part. Located on the lakeshore, there is a typically traditional Chinese structure about 20 meters high standing on an octagonal base, with multi-eaves and sharp edges. Five Phoenixes Pavilion stands on the north bank of the lake is a must-visit. Removed from Guguo Temple in 1979, the pavilion gained its name from its roof . With five sharp edges, the roof just looks like five phoenixes ready to fly from different angles. Standing at the east and facing the west, the Temple of Dragon King is the main structure and the highlight of Black Dragon Pool. It consists of entrance building, two wing-rooms and the main temple, all of which are connected by the corridors.

The water in Black Dragon Pool is lucid as jade. Along the lake bank, a natural flower carpet decorate fairyland. It is really a leisure tour to Black Dragon Pool.
