Seven Star Park [ Related Itinerary ]

Located on the east bank of Li River, 1.5 kilometers from city downtown, Seven Star Park is the largest comprehensive park in Guilin. The history of the park is over 1000 years dating back to Sui (581-618) and Tang (618-907) dynasties. Due to the unique natural scenery, it is regarded as one of the must-see attraction during Guilin tours.

Covering an area of more than 120 hectares, Seven Star Park is endowed with beautiful mountains, clear water, breathtaking stone forest, tranquil valleys, different kinds of animals and plants and some cultural relics. The eye-feasting landscapes in the park include Flower Bridge, Camel Hill, Seven Stars Cave, Crescent Mountain, etc.

Highlights to See in Seven Star Park
Flower Bridge: First built in the Song Dynasty (960-1279) and renovated in 1965, the Flower Bridge is the oldest bridge in Guilin. This bridge is an elegant arched structure measuring 135 meters in length. Why got the name of Flower Bridge? Because it crosses the confluence of the Li River's East Stream and the Lingjian Stream where full of blooming flowers during spring and summer periods.

Camel Hill: Camel Hill in the Seven Star Park is one of the top 10 scenery in Guilin. From the name you may know that it looks like a life-like squat camel. The Hill has a story: in Ming Dynasty there once came a hermit. He lived here and grew many plum trees on the hill, so every spring, the hill was full of plum blossom. Together with the beautiful sunrise or sunset, here form a picturesque scenery.

Seven Star Cave: Seven Star Cave is the symbol of the Park which is located at the western side of the Putuo Mountain. Since Sui (581-618) and Tang (618-907) Dynasties, it was a famous tourist destinations. Measuring 1100 meters in length, the widest point of the cave is 50 meters and the highest point is 20 meters. Made of natural dissolution of limestone by rain water, owing to the unique rock formations, the cave gains the reputation as the "Residence of the Immortals".
