Jianfu Palace is the first scene on Mt. Qingcheng. It was originally built during the Tang Dynasty (618-907), took 18 years to finish and was restored many times in the following dynasties. Now there are still  two temples and three compounds exist here, which are surrounded by lush ancient vegetation. The construction we see today was built during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).

Built during the Sui Dynasty (581-618), the Tianshi Cave has long been an oasis for Taoists. In the cave there is a stone statue of Zhang Tianshi. According to the legend, Zhang Tianshi is known as the founder of Taoism on Mt. Qingcheng. Facing the water and surrounded by mountains on three sides, the quiet cave has unique function to let you feel peace and stillness.

Chaoyang Cave is located at the east part of Mt. Qingcheng. It is a big cave that can accommodate one hundred people at the same time. In ancient times especially during the Qing Dynasty, here was the most favorite place for thinkers, painters, poets and the beauty lovers.

Shangqing Palace is the highest palace on Mt. Qingcheng. Originally built in the Jin Dynasty (265-420), it had been rebuilt many time during the follow dynasties. The palace was regarded as the home of thought, peace and tranquility year after years. With such a long history, there are many artifacts and many important ancient people housed here.
