Longqing Gorge is located in the northeast of Yanqing County, 85 kilometers away from Beijing city proper. Known as the "Small Li River" in Beijing, there are many famous and remarkable Scenic Spots in Longqing Gorge.

Major Scenic Spots
Longqing Dam is the first spot you will see in the scenic area. 72 meters in height and 90 meters in length. The dam can hold a water storage capacity of 8.5 million stere. On both sides of the dam lays two tunnels, the south one is around 300 meters long and connects the outer world directly,  the north one is the 100-meter-long leads to the north slipway. The dam is inset between hills and the elevator is hidden in the majestic dragon. Use the 258 meters long elevator, visitors can get to a height of 90 meters.

Jiguan Mountian (Cockscomb Mountain in English) also called the Solitary Beauty Peak, Fengguan Island is the landmark Scenic Spots in Longqing Gorge. It is surrounded by water and from water surface to the mountain top is 70 meters. It is just like a lying cock from the front, so it is called the Cockscomb Mountain.

Shenxian Yuan (Immortal Courtyard in English) is located at the highest peak of the Longqing Gorge, more than 200 meters above the sea level. There are old pine trees with 300 years old, which are about 24 meters tall. It is made of upper courtyard and under courtyard, named Yuhuang Pavilion and Shencha Pavilion.

Flowers Cave is a great Scenic Spots in Longqing Gorge. It is 320 meters long, with an exhibition area of 3000 square meters. There are more than 1650 artificial flowers and trees in it, with birds and other animals adorned among them. This Flowers Cave consists of Flourishing Flowers, Tropical Rain Forest, North Scenery, South Region Scenery and other scenery.

Ice Lantern Festival
The most attractive part in Longqing Gorge is the Ice Festival in late Jan to Feb, when groups of sculptors complete to create the most impressive ice sculpture. Every year hold with different themes. The enormous results depict cartoon characters, dragons, storks and figures from Chinese popular culture; with colored lights inside for a gloriously tacky psychedelic effect, they look great at night. If you are keen to see the marvelous combination of the natural wonder and human creativity, you can go there during the winter.
